</p><p>Em 2019, concluiu o seminário de Bill Wallace, em São Paulo. Em relação à União Wen Kan do Brasil, desde 1983 ela está empenhada em desenvolver e divulgar as artes marciais. É fiscal tributário (PMR), membro honorário da Black Belt Hall of The Fame (Revista Master) e participante dos livros Black Belt e Grandes Mestres das Artes Marciais. </p><p>Em 1989, realizou um camp. internacional em Resende, no Rio de Janeiro, que teve a presença do grande mestre Sadamu Uriu, um dos introdutores do Karate no Brasil.
</p><p>Em 1990, conheceu o Kickboxing por meio do grande mestre Paulo Zorello, que era presidente da Confederação Brasileira de Kickboxing e representante da World Association Kickboxing Organization.
</p><p>O artista marcial é árbitro e técnico do esporte, tendo desempenhado esta última função na seleção paulista de Kickboxing, durante o Campeonato Brasileiro. Também realizou várias competições em sua cidade e promoveu a Noite do Kickboxing com o lançamento do filme “Gaiola da Morte”. O principal convidado foi o campeão mundial Paulo Zorello, em 1992.
</p><p>Mestre Sérgio é um dos pioneiros do Jeet Kune Do no Brasil e participou da fundação da Guarda Civil Municipal como instrutor de defesa pessoal e tonfa. Em 2015, realizou o 1º Encontro de Faixas Pretas da Wen Kan Brasil. No JKD Tradicional tem parceria com o GM Leandro da Costa, seu representante no Rio Grande do Sul.
</p><p>Em 2019, concluiu o seminário de Bill Wallace, em São Paulo. Em relação à União Wen Kan do Brasil, desde 1983 ela está empenhada em desenvolver e divulgar as artes marciais. É fiscal tributário (PMR), membro honorário da Black Belt Hall of The Fame (Revista Master) e participante dos livros Black Belt e Grandes Mestres das Artes Marciais. Ao todo, formou 18 faixas pretas, entre eles, a filha Tatiana Ribeiro Sousa, vice-campeã mundial de Kickboxing na Itália, em 1999.</p><p><br></p><p>The master is a 10th dan (Brazilian Goshin Ju Jutsu Taiso Confederation), 8th dan in Kickboxing (CNKFB and ISKA), 7th dan in Karate (USKA and CNKFB), and 1st dan in KB (CBKB). </p><p>In addition, he stands out as the founder of the Wen Kan Union of Brazil for JKD Kickboxing and Karate. He began practicing the “art of empty hands” in 1970, under the supervision of Professor Sérgio Vinhaes. </p><p>In 1972, he began studying Jeet Kune Do with Master Loo Song in São Paulo, who later took him to a JKD seminar in the United States with guru Richard Bustilho.</p><p>He has written three books: “The Concepts of Bruce Lee,” “The Techniques of a Champion,” and “The History of Martial Arts.” In karate, he became a two-time world kata champion in Long Beach, California, USA.</p><p>In 1989, he held an international camp in Resende, Rio de Janeiro, which was attended by grand master Sadamu Uriu, one of the introducers of karate in Brazil.</p><p>In 1990, he was introduced to kickboxing by grand master Paulo Zorello, who was president of the Brazilian Kickboxing Confederation and representative of the World Association Kickboxing Organization. </p><p>The martial artist is a referee and coach for the sport, having performed the latter role for the São Paulo Kickboxing team during the Brazilian Championship. He also held several competitions in his city and promoted Kickboxing Night with the release of the film “Gaiola da Morte” (Death Cage). The main guest was world champion Paulo Zorello in 1992.</p><p>Master Sérgio is one of the pioneers of Jeet Kune Do in Brazil and participated in the founding of the Municipal Civil Guard as a self-defense and tonfa instructor. In 2015, he held the 1st Wen Kan Brazil Black Belt Meeting. In Traditional JKD, he has a partnership with GM Leandro da Costa, his representative in Rio Grande do Sul.</p><p>In 2019, he completed Bill Wallace's seminar in São Paulo. Regarding the Wen Kan Union of Brazil, since 1983 it has been committed to developing and promoting martial arts. He is a tax inspector (PMR), an honorary member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame (Master Magazine), and a contributor to the books Black Belt and Great Masters of Martial Arts.
