</p><p>Logo que conquistou a faixa preta, passou a explorar a prática pedagógica, algo que se fortaleceu com o projeto “Formando Cidadãos”. Teve muitos triunfos nos campos pessoal, profissional e educacional. No mundo competitivo, sagrou-se campeão individual de fase e em dupla de revezamento.
</p><p>Para Douglas Ferraz, o principal ensinamento é a filosofia do Karate Goju-ryu, forte e suave.
</p><p>“Ser um grande mestre é ter um amplo conhecimento. Admiro muito o GM Chojun Miyagi, o fundador do estilo Goju-ryu, devido à sua belíssima trajetória e persistência. Quero transmitir tudo o que sei aos meus alunos e aos meus filhos. Este é o meu verdadeiro legado. Aos praticantes de artes marciais, espero que não deixem a chama se apagar e que se mantenham firmes. Acreditem em si”, recomenda.
</p><p>Hoje, ele é 1º Sargento da Polícia Militar do Estado de Rondônia, formado em Educação Física (licenciatura e bacharelado) e especialista (lato sensu) em Artes Marciais Mistas.
</p><p>Leciona na Academia Dojo Leão. Suas aulas buscam promover a formação integral. Sendo assim, não ensina somente técnicas de Karate, mas valores que poderão nortear a vida dos discípulos.

</p><p><br></p><p>The teacher was born in São Paulo, Capital, and is a 7th dan in Kickboxing (The International Self Defense Federation), 7th dan in Tactical Combat Actions System (World Martial Arts Union of Argentina), 6th dan in Karate Goju-Ryu (CBKD) and 3rd dan (The International Self Defense Federation).</p><p>He grew up in a generation passionate about martial arts. For this reason, it didn't take him long to find a dojo and start classes. His first teacher was Márcio. After a break, he returned with Sensei Sílvio. </p><p>As soon as he earned his black belt, he began to explore teaching, something that was strengthened by the “Formando Cidadãos” (Forming Citizens) project. He has had many triumphs in his personal, professional, and educational life. In the competitive world, he became an individual champion and a relay team champion. </p><p>For Douglas Ferraz, the main lesson is the philosophy of Goju-ryu Karate, which is strong and gentle. </p><p>"Being a great master means having extensive knowledge. I greatly admire GM Chojun Miyagi, the founder of the Goju-ryu style, because of his beautiful career and persistence. I want to pass on everything I know to my students and my children. This is my true legacy. To martial arts practitioners, I hope you don't let the flame go out and that you remain steadfast. Believe in yourselves," he recommends.</p><p>Today, he is a First Sergeant in the Military Police of the State of Rondônia, with a degree in Physical Education (bachelor's and licentiate) and a specialization (lato sensu) in Mixed Martial Arts.</p><p>He teaches at the Dojo Leão Academy. His classes seek to promote comprehensive training. As such, he not only teaches Karate techniques, but also values that can guide the lives of his disciples.</p><p>
